Our main mission at Holly Springs Direct Primary Care is to provide high quality, affordable, and easy to access health care. We do this in a number of ways, including keeping our monthly membership as low as possible. We also have a passion for helping those who need it the most, and we accomplish this through a number of different programs.
We are excited to announce our inaugural Holly Springs Direct Primary Care Health Care Scholarship has been awarded to Riley Franklin of Green Level High School. The scholarship is $1,500, and we are so excited to watch Riley enter college and do amazing things in her future health care career! Check out the winning announcement here.
The next scholarship application cycle will open in early 2026. Applicants must be a senior at a local high school and willing to demonstrate a passion for a career in the health care industry. Our hope is to increase the value of the scholarship and the number of winners every year!
Dr. Bartkoski plans on bringing in different experts to give free classes to anyone who wants to attend. Examples include a dietician speaking about tips for diabetes, a yoga instructor teaching the basics of yoga, and a psychologist teaching ways to better handle stress. These are just some examples, but the possibilities are endless, and everything will be free for both members of the clinic and non members. See below for past and upcoming events and classes. Send an email to info@hollyspringsdpc.com to register.
Each year, 18,000 patients are diagnosed with some kind of blood cancer or blood disorder that requires a stem cell transplant for survival, but 70% of them have to look outside their family for a donor. We would love to increase the number of people that join the donor registry, and we are in the process of determining the best legal and ethical ways to incentivize this, so stay tuned! Learn more about joining the donor registry here.
Colonoscopies are a great tool to screen for colon cancer or evaluate symptoms like chronic diarrhea or bloody stools. However, some people don't have someone to sit in the waiting room during the colonoscopy or drive them home after the anesthesia, as is required. So, often times this medically necessary procedure doesn't get done and the patient is at risk for worsening health issues, including death if there is a delay in diagnosis for some things like colon cancer. Dr. Bartkoski will help provide "scope hope" by volunteering to fulfill this role so that patients can get their colonoscopy. This service is free of charge, but of course will take coordination and planning. It is Dr. Bartkoski's hope to eventually grow this idea and make it even more nationally available.
Dr. Bartkoski loves playing pickleball and would love to meet with patients (and anyone else interested) on a regular basis, where Dr. Bartkoski can give a brief talk about something medically related and then the group can enjoy the fastest growing sport in the world! From going over the basics of the game for beginners, or playing a match for those interested, the sky is the limit!
We're constantly looking to improve on our mission and help as many people as possible. Without the confines of insurance and working for a large health system, we have freedom to be creative and are always open to new ideas the community may have. Send us a message here.
